Taoist Yoga & Lifestyle for Self-Care (Part 2)

Join Andrew Tanner on a deep dive into Taoist Yoga and Lifestyle practices this winter.

Building on the learnings of the first course, Course 2 takes a deeper dive into the history and philosophy of Chinese Taoism, Korean Sahm-Je Taoism, and Western Taoism and how it relates to modern day living. We will study the second principle of energy and explore the connection between the physical body and emotional states. Techniques for gathering energy in one's center and one's heart will be taught and experienced. Participants will leave the second course with more resources for managing their emotions and deepening their connection to breath and vitality. 

At the end of Course 2, students will have the prerequisite knowledge to begin learning Taoist healing techniques. Course counts 18 hours towards 2018 Taoist Yoga Teacher Training

Schedule: Meets 4 Wednesdays Jan 10th, 17th, 24th and 31st 6:00am-8:45am and one Sunday Jan 28th 10:30am-4:30pm

Location: Elements3 Yoga Studio, Framingham, MA

Each Wednesday session begins with morning wake-up Taoist Yoga practice followed by a mindful tea ceremony (caffeinated and de-caf tea provided). The second part of class is dedicated to an experiential lecture. Enrollees are asked to attend the Wednesday 9:00am Taoist Yoga class following each session (not included in price, must use class pack or membership).

Weekend sessions will also include a warm-up moving practice, tea ceremony and experiential lecture. Full day weekend sessions will include a break for lunch.
